Synopsis

Far from the shore explores the way of narrating memories, feelings and hopes of its characters, always maintaining sincerity between the documentary filmmaker, interviewees, and the viewer.

It is a different approach not only to immigration, but also to the way of representing what lies behind the words of the interviewees. Mariama, Amadou, Abdoulaye and Rahisy have a goal in life and are seeking the path to achieve it.

Far from the shore is a documentary that shows the heroic and anonymous journey of people who struggle to achieve their dreams and are capable of rising every time life strikes them. It is a story of overcoming, love and dignity.
